Anthe Maria Bova

Attorney, Mediator, Non-Profit Specialist

Anthe Maria Bova is the General Counsel & Director of Pro Bono Programs at a large non-profit bar association with several thousand members spanning the city, state and globe. Ms. Bova handles all corporate governance and contractual matters; she also guides NYCLA’s pro bono projects and policy initiatives, focusing on the organization’s mission to apply its knowledge to the promotion of the public good, arrange for free legal services for the indigent and ensure access to justice for all.  Ms. Bova additionally supervises a court-sponsored program for Alternative Dispute Resolution in arbitration and mediation. 

 

Ms. Bova was awarded a 2020 Women in Power Fellowship through the 92nd Street Y’s Belfer Center for Innovation & Social Impact, a 2020 InclusionLabs Fellowship for leadership in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and a 2020-21 Coaching Fellowship (now the Women's Impact Alliance). Ms. Bova previous professional experience includes serving as an Orison Marden Public Service fellow with the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, and practicing finance, securities and corporate law at two large law firms in New York City. Ms. Bova also co-taught the Community Economic Development Clinic at Fordham University School of Law, outlining the fundamentals of New York non-profit law with clinical students while representing social justice organizations in practice.
